Dove hunting is on many thousands of acres of sunflower, sorghum and cornfields, with water
and roosting areas nearby. Estimated Fall dove migration is in excess of 16 million birds.
Quail are hunted over dogs from custom-designed vehicles.

Ducks, including some 14 available species, are hunted over fresh-water lakes from well-built blinds.
Goose hunting on this stretch of the Laguna Madre is spectacular, thanks
to ample food and moderate
winter temperatures, as well as the convergence
of major northern flyways.
Rio Grande Turkey thrive here; the hunting is from blinds over feed and/or calling.

Problem-free transportation is from the Harlingen,
Tx. airport by way of large, air-conditioned vans, with refreshments provided.
Private or chartered aircraft can fly into Abasolo’s 5100 ft. hard-surfaced
airstrip, just a few minutes from the ranch.
