This 70 year old, fourth generation family-owned and operated ranch
represents the finest that the Eastern
Cape has to offer.
The hunting, as well as the accomodations, food and service, are
unsurpassed. Encompassing some 60
thousand private acres and literally “millions” of additional acres
of concessions, your operator’s knowledge and experience hunting this
area is unmatched on the Continent.
Vegetation in this malaria-free zone is predominately East Cape Valley
Bushveld, consisting primarily of dense subtropical thickets
|
which break up
from place to place into grassy plains. The terrain is undulating but not overly steep except in the mountainous
regions. From the hunting areas
surrounding the main lodge to the mountains of Springvale, some 40 species are
available to choose from. The main
hunting method is “spot and stalk”, with shots averaging 100
– 300 yards. World-renowned for it’s top quality trophies, this concession is home to
the largest herd of East Cape Kudu in Africa,
as well as an estimated population of 20,000 antelope. Preferred months for Safari are April thru
September, with temperatures averaging between 45 and 75 degrees F.
